Peak LEADER Grant
The Parish Council was awarded a Peak LEADER grant in November 2017. The grant has been used to purchase Winter Lighting, Signage and Information Lecterns. We are pleased to say that the project is now complete.
The Signage and Information Lecterns will allow visitors to be able to navigate more effectively throughout the village and aid tourism.
Derbyshire County Council, as Accountable Body, was responsible for overseeing the work of the Peak Local Action Group (LAG) which operates under delegated authority from the Secretary of State for the Environment Food and Rural Affairs acting through the Rural Payments Agency. LEADER funding is jointly provided through the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) and by the Department of Food, Environment and Rural Affairs (DEFRA). DEFRA acts as the Managing Authority for LEADER and is ultimately responsible for the management of the scheme.
The Parish Council is extremely grateful to receive this grant which will enable the village to have Winter Lighting for the benefit of residents and visitors and improved signage for visitors.
