Parking Proposals
Derbyshire County Council has asked the Parish Council to draw up a list of suggestions of areas where removing or amending the current Traffic Regulation Order would free up any further roadside spaces.
There are currently two proposals on the table - one on Temple Road and one at the bottom of Holme Road. These proposals are attached.
Although it is not expected to be a quick process, DCC will try and accommodate everything that is put forward but they would have to take their place within the county-wide ranking system. However, at least then DCC would have a set of proposals that ensure the restrictions in Matlock Bath remain relevant to the latest needs.
If you have any suggestions, please contact the Clerk - This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
The Parish Council's Planning Committee met with residents on on Wednesday 24th July 2019 to discuss the Temple Road proposal and on 10th September the Parish Council met with residents on Holme Road.
The Parish Council's Planning Committee met with representatives of DCC to discuss parking solutions on Holme Road and Temple Road in January. This also included double yellow lines on Upperwood Road before the gap.
We are awaiting drawings which will reflect the discussions we had on site. Although we have been advised that it will be a slow process as the Traffic Regulation Order procedure is lengthy and time consuming, we are hoping that the plans will be sent through as soon as possible. As soon as the plans are available we will post them on our website and, if possible, publish in our newsletter.
